Leaders of CPN-UML have said the CPN (Maoist Centre) buckled under the lure of power centers to change the "power equation".

The leaders came up with such views during the ongoing Standing Committee meeting of the party convened to evaluate the current national politics and party's role. The meeting began since Sunday. 

Although the CPN-UML had tried to keep intact the UML-Maoist coalition, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) was badly lured by various power centres, which finally collapsed the UML-led government, the party claimed.

During the meeting on Friday, leaders Bishnu Poudel, Subash Nembang and Chhabi Lal Bishwokarma expressed their views, said Party Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai in a press release.

A press release issued by the party furtehr stated that the party played a leading role in constitution writing; worked for the people and the country; brought the foreign relations back on tack, and instilled confidence among people of economic prosperity.

Even the party's flaws were discussed and correction measure sought during the meeting. RSS
