Former Minister and Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal leader Mangal Siddhi Manandhar passed away at the age of 75 on Friday.
Leader Manandhar was receiving medical treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali. He passed away at 11:45 am today from heart attack, SSFN Vice-chairman Rajendra Shrestha informed.
He was suffering from prostate cancer. Earlier, Manandhar had received treatment for the ailment from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre in India.
Leader Manandhar had quit CPN-UML to join SSFN. He was Minister for Education and Sports during late Girija Prasad Koirala-led government.
Manandhar is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter.
