Deputy Prime Minister Kamal has said that Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) should allow all the ward offices plan and implement small projects.

Thapa visited the KMC on Wednesday to enquire about the working mechanism on development related works in the metropolis. He instructed the metropolis to blacktop all the roads inside the Ring  Road within a year.

During the visit, Chief and Executive Officer Rudra Singh Tamang briefed him about metropolis’ annual working plans, anti-earthquake management mechanism, interest of people living inside the metropolis, among others.

Tamang shared the problem on how the metropolis is facing hard to perform the development work due to duplication in work caused by the involvement of various units of the government.
