Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has nominated Hari Phuyal to the post of attorney general on Sunday. The post was lying vacant for over a month.
His predecessor Hari Krishna Karki had resigned from the post after his name was to be nominated for the post of justice. Attorney general provides legal counselling to the government.
“Prime Minister has appointed him [Phuyal]. He will be taking the oath at the President’s office today,” said PM press coordinator Chetan Adhikari.
Phuyal is legal expert close to CPN-UML. He also looks after Accounts Commission of the party.
