Govt adds two new ministries
The government on Thursday decided to add two new ministries in what is widely believed to be an attempt to balance the power-sharing arrangement among the ruling parties.

Prime Minister KP Sharma has been making preparations to expand his Cabinet later today. The ministries were separated in order to accommodate four new parties that have decided to join the government.
According to Minister for Health and Population Ram Janam Chaudhary, the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment has been split to form a separate Ministry of Population and Environment.
Likewise, a separate Ministry of Sanitation and Drinking Water has been created to take up the roles that were being overseen by the Ministry of Urban Development.
It has been learnt that PM Oli will appoint four new ministers today itself and they will be sworn in at the President’s Office in Sheetal Niwas.
According to a source, Pariwar Dal’s lawmaker Ek Nath Dhakal, Samajwadi Janata Party lawmaker Prem Bahadur Singh, Jana Mukti Party lawmaker Shivalal Thapa and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Deepak Bohara will take the oath of office and secrecy for their respective ministerial posts amid a special function this evening.
