Experts discuss cardiovascular problems
Jayanti Memorial Trust, organised “Continuing Medical Education” seminar on Thursday where international experts discussed various issues of cardiovascular problems.
Papers on various themes of cardiovascular surgery were presented at the event by experts from University of Colorado led by Dr Frederick Grover and Dr David Fullerton. Dr Robert Quaife of the university presented a paper titled “Assessment of Mitral and Aortic Valve Disease in Preparation for Percutaneous Interventions” while Dr Fullerton discussed on “Transcatherter Aortic Valve Replacement”. Similarly, Dr Grover talked about “Durability of Tissue Valves and Dr David Campbell shed light on “Congenital Vascular Rings, Slings and Other Things”.
JMT stated that they will be donating 15 PT/ INR machines to hospitals and medical clinics and patients will be offered a month’s supply of free Warfarin each time they come in for PT/ INR services. A PT/INR test has to be conducted by individuals undergoing valve replacement.
