21 injured in bus accident, one dead with electric shock

At least 21 persons were injured when a bus heading towards Bungmati of Lalitpur district from Chittapole VDC of Bhaktapur met an accident on Wednesday.

The bus with the registration number Ba1 Kha 8352, carrying pilgrims to Bungmati fell off the road at Chittapole VDC-1, according Shyam Adhikari, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur.

Among the injured, 13 are receiving treatment at Madhyapur Hospital at Thimi while the rest at Bhaktapur Hospital.

Meanwhile, a person died of electric shock in Bhaktapur same day. Bishnu Prasad Khusu, 32, of Itacheka, Bhaktapur Municipality- 15 died while wielding railings in the stairs of his relative's home at Nikosera of Bhaktapur -17, informed Budhi Kumar Vaidya, victim's uncle.
