Wrecker towing truck to come
After the widely accepted success of Sajha in introducing public transportation service, the cooperative have stepped up efforts to restart its long-halted vehicle rescue service
Sajha believes introducing the service will facilitate drivers and clear traffic, maintaining a smooth flow, after a breakdown.
According to Sajha Manager Mahendra Pandey, the truck was previously not in the condition to be used. “We plan to facilitate city areas together with the nearby highways with the wrecker towing truck”, said Pandey. The truck was gifted by the Japanese government over decade ago when Sajha was still operating under an old management. “This is a high capacity truck suitable for big size vehicles.”
Sajha plans to test the vehicle starting Wednesday from Nagdhunga, which is known for regular vehicles wreckage, disrupting the entire highway traffic.
The cost for hiring this truck is Rs 5,000 per hour while Rs 2,000 will be charged for every other hour in service.
