Lawmaker Kuikel sworn in
Newly-elected member of the Constituent Assembly (CA), Dipak Kuinkel, took oath of member of the Constituent Assembly and Legislature-Parliament here on Thursday.

CA Chairman, Subas Chandra Nembang, administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at the CA Building, New Baneshwor amidst a function.
Kuinkel of the Nepali Congress has been elected lawmaker from Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 in the by-election held on Sunday.
Senior leaders of the Nepali Congress and other political parties were also present at the swearing-in programme.
The Election Commission held the by-election in Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 vacated by senior leader of the CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister, Madhav Nepal, as he was elected lawmaker from Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 and Rautahat Constituency No. 1. Nepal later vacated Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 seat.
Meanwhile, CA chairman Nembang welcomed lawmaker Kuinkel at the beginning of the CA meeting today and expressed the confidence that Kuinkel would actively and fully devote himself in constitution writing from today itself.
