Three bodies recovered from Darchula avalanche

Bodies of three out of the five people who were buried in an avalanche that occurred in the Byas Rural Municipality of Darchula district on Tuesday have been recovered.
The bodies of two women and a man were found some 600 metres from the incident spot earlier on Wednesday, said Assistant Chief District Officer Pradip Singh Dhami.
The deceased are yet to be identified.
Rescue efforts have been hampered due to continuous rain and snowfall, Dhami added.
Four women and a man were buried in an avalanche that occurred at Bhomin in Byas Rural Municipality of Darchula district on Tuesday.
The incident had occurred in an area where a group of 12 people had set up a tent to collect yarsagumba.
According to Dhami, seven people from the group had escaped while the other five were buried by the avalanche.
Three of the buried are from Budar in the Kailali district while the other two are from Pokshe in Duhu Rural Municipality.
A 30-member rescue team of personnel from the Nepal Police under the command of Sitapul Police Station Deputy Superintendent of Police and personnel from Armed Police Force No. 50 Barrack in Changru had been deployed to the incident site to conduct rescue operations.
