Hussain adds three more golds

Nasir Yahya Hussain added three gold medals on Monday to take his tally to five in the 10th NSA Cup Open and Age Group Swimming Championships at the Satdobato Swimming Pool.
He finished top in the men's 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 100m butterfly. He had secured golds in 200m individual medley and 100m freestyle on Sunday.

In the 100m breaststroke, Hussain clocked 59.60 second to secure gold. Anubhav Subba claimed silver with a timing of 1:00.25, while Alvin Maharjan won bronze at 1:5.29. In the 100m butterfly, Hussain finished the distance in 59.60 second to come ahead of Anubhav Subba, who took 1:00.25. Maharjan took bronze at 1:05.29.
In the women's section, Duwana Lama clinched two gold and a silver medals. Lama clinched 200m freestyle gold with a timing of 2:18.05. Niva Maskey won silver at 2:19.15 and Anushiya Tandukar took bronze clocking 2:24.70.
In the 100m breaststroke, Lama won gold at 1:18.77, while Upaasti Maharjan earned silver at 1:23.63 and Royal Prajapati took bronze at 1: 23.67. Lama, however, came second in the 100m butterfly after Maskey secured the top finish. Maskey completed the distance in 1:09.51 while Lama finished at 1:12.38. Cyiera Shuvangini Bajagai was third at 1:24.15.
