Nepal win gold in men's football

Defending Champion Nepal held their nerves to beat Bhutan 2-1 in the final of the men's football in the ongoing 13th SAG. This is the fourth time Nepal have clinched the gold medal in men's football in SAG history.

Abishek Rijal gave the early lead for the host in the 16th minute of the game. But, Bhutan's skipper Chencho Gyeltshen brought his team back in the game in 36th minute.

But, Nepal's Sunil Bal scored in the 53rd minute, giving Nepal the crucial lead which became the decider.

Boxer Sanil Shahi wins gold medal for Nepal in boxing

Nepali boxer Sanil Shahi won the gold medal in the men's 60kg category on Tuesday. With this Nepali athletes have secured 50 gold medals for the nation in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games. Shahi beat India's Varindar Singh on points.
