Nepal had won their game against Malaysia but had to wait for the result of the Bangaldesh-India match. Nepal finished second on the table with four points to enter into the semi-final. Bangladesh topped the table with six points from three games.
Earlier, Nepal had hammered Malaysia by eight wickets in a must-win match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup on Tuesday.
Malaysia offered no match for Nepali bowling and batting prowess at the match in Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur.
Nepal completed the 46 runs target from just 33 balls losing two wickets. Anil Sah scored 26 from 15 while captain Dipendra Singh Airee smashed two sixes for his 12 from 3 balls.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to field first, Malaysia offered little resistance against Nepal's bowling attack as they slumped from 32/0 to 45 all out inside 15.3 overs. The match was reduced to 24 overs each due to rain delay.
The collapse was triggered mainly by Sandip Lamichhane who took five wickets while Dipendra Singh Airee and Shahab Alam also claimed two wickets each.
