Champions Chyasal Youth Club lifted the Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League trophy at Anfa Complex in Satdobato on Wednesday.

Chyasal were confirmed as the champions after Tuesday’s results, finishing ahead of New Road Team on goal difference after tying on 28 points. Chyasal had hammered Bansbari Club 5-0 and NRT had defeated Satdobato Youth Club 2-0 on Tuesday.

In an inconsequential last match on Wednesday, Samajik Youth Club pip Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) 4-3. Bhuwan Basnet completed a hat-trick and Suresh Khatri added the another for Samajik. Sabin Dangol, Yaman Rajbahak and Santosh Singh Thakuri replied for MYA. 

Samajik finished 13th with 11 points in the 14-team league, while MYA ended up in 11th with 13 points.

Chyasal collected Rs 5,00,000 and NRT received Rs 2,50,000. Third place finishers Ranipokhari Corner Team earned Rs 1,50,000 and fourth-placed Satdobato got Rs 75,000. Chyasal trio of goalkeeper Raja Babu Thapa, defender Chetan Tharu and coach Chet Narayan Shrestha won the best individual award. Sushil Lama of NRT won the best midfielder award and Suraj Raut of Khumaltar took home the best striker honour.
