Nepal set to participate in Blind Asia Cup

Kritan Shrestha Duwal will lead the Nepali side with Bikram Bahadur Rana named as his deputy. Others in the team include Bharat Thapa, Ratna Bahadur Rai, Khimananda Gaire, Sunil Subedi, Jeevan Gurung, Badri Chaulagain, Shanta Bahadur Pahari, Santosh Sapkota, Shankar Regmi, Ram Prasad Paudel, Padam Badhela and Sunil Thapa Magar.
The Asia Cup will be participated in by India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The tournament was originally scheduled to begin two years ago in Pakistan but was pushed back due to ‘technical reasons’. All round-robin league games will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kerala. Nepal will leave for the venue on January 14 after a week-long closed camp in Kathmandu on January 4-10. Duwal will also play the role of the team coach, while Cab Nepal President Pawan Ghimire will be the team manager.
