“We hope this will help Nepali mountain bikers grow in skill and boost their confidence. We hope everyone who loves mountain biking will come down to support the riders,” says Jayendra Kakshapati, race director and co-founder of Switchback Nepal. The races are set around the resort’s periphery, where the organisers have spent the last few weeks building and customising cross-country race tracks. They believe that the course will make for a challenging and fun cross-country experience, with its flowing flat sections, steep technical climbs and fun drops. With the Nepal National Mountain Bike Championships just around the corner, the competition is expected to be tough, as top riders from around the country will be coming in for practice.
