Kavre
Traffic on the BP Highway has been suspended following continuous rainfall and the increased risk of floods and landslides, Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal said.
He stated that rising water levels in the Roshi River have raised the possibility of flooding, prompting the ban.
“From 9am Saturday, traffic on the BP Highway section from Kavre Bhanjyang to Nepalthok has been halted,” he said. “The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.”
The district administration has urged residents to stay indoors, except for essential work, due to the ongoing rainfall.
