The Narayanghat-Mugling road section will now be operational round-the-clock from Sunday.
The road section used to be closed for four hours daily since December 20 for flattening hills for the construction of bridges.
Engineer Krishna Acharya, information officer of the Narayanghat-Mugling Road, Naubise-Mugling Road Project, West Section, said the traffic will operate round-the-clock on the road section from tomorrow.
Vehicular movement was not allowed due to the difficult terrain and for road safety during the construction of the approach roads and bridges. The highway was closed for the construction of bridges over Simaltal, Kalikhola, Tuinkhola and Chisenjikhola.
Acharya said explosives will be denoted for the bridge construction over Tuinkhola.
“The work of flattening hills in other places is almost completed. The road may be closed for an hour for a few days while carrying out an explosion,” said Acharya.
