11 injured in Ramechhap jeep crash

At least 11 passengers were injured, three of them critically, when a jeep met with an accident in Umakunda Rural Municipality-7 of Ramechhap district on Saturday afternoon.
According to Ramechhap District Police Office, the jeep heading to Umakunda-7 from Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-1 swerved off the road and fell some 50 metres down.
Police Inspector Raju Prasad Dhakal said three critically injured in the mishap—ward member Bimal Sunuwar, Bimala Sunuwar and Raj Kumar Thapa—have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
Four passengers injured in the accident have been taken to Kathmandu by road while four others are receiving treatment at a local health post.
