Police on Monday arrested three people in connection with the murder of Dhanjit Rai of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-11. He was killed in a knife attack on Saturday.
A police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Khadka, took 28-year-old Ganesh Rai, Bikash Rai, 22, and 20-year-old Ashan Rai into custody from ward 10 of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-10 at around 8:30 am on Monday.
They were found hiding in local Dhanpati Rai’s house. The trio have been booked for murder and further investigation into the matter is underway, said Police Inspector Benu Karki, also the spokesperson at the Khotang Police Office.
