Mahanta Thakur has been unanimously elected the leader of the parliamentary party of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.
Thakur, who is president of the party, was unanimously elected for the post by the meeting of the parliamentary party of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party held on Wednesday at the party office in Buddhanagr, Kathmandu.
Thakur has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Mahottari Constituency 3 in the November 20 polls.
Leaders including Sharat Singh Bhandari, Sarvendra Nath Shukla and Ram Prakash Chaudhary were present in the meeting.
Earlier, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Janamat Party and others have already elected the leader of their parliamentary parties.
