CPN-UML president KP Sharma Oli has been elected the leader of the parliamentary party.

“Oli was unanimously elected by the meeting of the newly elected lawmakers held on Tuesday,” said General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.

In the elections held on November 20, UML won 78 seats—44 seats through FPTP and 34 seats through proportional ballots.

UML has emerged as the second-largest party in the House, leading in the proportional ballot with 2,845,641 votes.
