Man killed in leopard attack in Bardiya

Bardiya
A man was killed in a leopard attack in Bardiya district on Thursday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Nandu Rokaya of Tulsipur, ward 4 of Gulariya Municipality.
According to the Division Forest Office, the leopard attacked Rokaya while he was cutting grass in Janajagriti Community Forest in Belbhari, ward 11 of Barbardiya Municipality. He died on the spot, said information officer Shiva Bahadur KC.
Division Forest Office data show that seven people have died in leopard attacks in the current fiscal year. One person each has also been killed in separate attacks by a tiger and an elephant.
