Dry landslide disrupts traffic along Bhakunde–Mangaltar section of BP Highway

The BP Highway has been blocked in both directions after a dry landslide occurred along the Bhakunde–Mangaltar section in Kavrepalanchok district.
Sunil Dhoju, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Kavre, said the landslide began at around 7:25 pm on Sunday near a bridge in Namobuddha Municipality–4.
“Following the incident, two-way vehicular movement on the highway has been suspended as a precaution,” he said.
Police said continuous falling debris has made it unsafe to immediately deploy excavators to clear the road.
