Teenage girl killed in tiger attack in Bardiya

A 17-year-old girl died after being attacked by a tiger in Bardiya on Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Binita Pariyar of Kothiyagaun in Madhuwan-2. According to officials, she had gone to the Kothiya Community Forest to graze livestock when the tiger attacked her.
Following the incident, locals and police launched a search operation and found Pariyar about 100 metres from the attack site, critically injured and abandoned in the forest.
She was rushed to the District Hospital in Gulariya, where she died during treatment, said Mahendra Sen, police inspector at the Dhodhari Area Police Office.
