Prime Minister Sushila Karki said her government is committed to transparent and accountable governance while ensuring timely elections in a free and fearless environment.
In her message issued on Monday on the occasion of Tihar, Karki said the government is moving ahead with the responsibility and trust placed upon it by the Gen Z movement. She said the movement laid the foundation for good governance and development, and the government would honour that mandate through concrete actions.
Karki reiterated that holding elections on March 5 in a free, fair, and peaceful manner remains a top priority. She said efforts for political dialogue and strengthening security have been progressing satisfactorily to create the right environment for polls.
“The government is determined to deliver a stable administration within six months,” she said, adding that the focus is on ending corruption, ensuring justice for those affected during the Gen Z protests, and advancing reforms for a new, hopeful Nepal.
