Floods, landslides block nine roads
Heavy rains disrupt traffic as key highways across three provinces remain blocked.

Floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall across the country have blocked nine major roads in three provinces, according to police.
According to the Police Headquarters, Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces have been the worst affected.
In Koshi Province, the sections of Koshi Highway at Barunkhola in ward 4 of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, and at Ekuwa in ward 3 of Makalu Rural Municipality in Sankhuwasabha have been obstructed.
Likewise, the Mechi Highway has been obstructed at Rajduwali in ward 9 of Ilam Municipality, and the Tamor Corridor has been blocked at Navakhola ward 2 of Tumwewa Rural Municipality in Panchthar, said Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire, spokesperson for Nepal Police.
In Bagmati Province, the Pasang Lhamu Highway has been obstructed at ward 2 of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality, Rasuwa.
The BP Highway that connects several districts of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces has been obstructed at Mamtikola in ward 11 of Roshi Rural Municipality in Kavrepalanchok and at ward 1 of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality in Sindhuli.
In Karnali Province, the Karnali Corridor has been blocked at ward 5 of Kharpunath Rural Municipality, Humla and at ward 8 of Pachaljharna Rural Municipality, Kalikot.
