Police have arrested 12 people, including activist Dr Nicholous Bhusal, while protesting at Maitighar demanding that the government address the demands of Gen Z groups.
Bhusal and fellow demonstrator Surendra Gharti were taken into police custody on Thursday morning. Authorities have tightened security in the Maitighar area.
The protesters said they staged the demonstration because the government had failed to meet Gen Z’s demands despite the fact that the Sushila Karki government was formed after the success of the uprising led by the youths.
