The Prithvi Highway has reopened after being blocked for 16 hours by a dry landslide near Jawang Khola in Dhading.
Kedar Prasad Nepal, chief of the Malekhu–Muglin Road Project (western section), informed that the traffic resumed at around 3pm on Tuesday once the landslide debris was cleared, allowing vehicles to move in both directions.
The landslide had struck at around 11pm on Monday, halting all vehicular movement. Authorities said clearance work could not begin immediately due to the risk of falling rocks at night.
Efforts started the following morning, and the debris was eventually removed, restoring full traffic flow.
