One killed in lightning strike in Chitwan

A 51-year-old man died after being struck by lightning in ward 1 of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, Chitwan, police said.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal, the deceased has been identified as Biru Chepang of Kyangsirang.
The lightning struck Biru while he was walking with his nephew, Dil Bahadur Chepang, on Wednesday afternoon. Biru died on the spot, while Dil Bahadur sustained minor injuries.
Police reached the incident site, located 45 kilometres southeast of Mugling, at around 9pm on Wednesday.
The body was brought to Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem at around 3am on Thursday, said DSP Khanal.
