Siraha
A decomposed body was discovered inside a sack on the banks of the Ghormi River in ward 9 of Golbazar Municipality, Siraha, on Tuesday.
Security personnel have arrived at the scene to recover the body, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchkumar Bakhu of the Mirchaiya Area Police Office.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. However, locals suspect it could be that of Gulshana Khatun, a 13-year-old girl from the village who went missing on March 13. The grade 4 student had left her home at 9am that day. Her mother, Jahida Khatun, filed a missing person report the following day.
DSP Bakhu said the decomposition of the body makes identification challenging. He assured that investigations would soon provide more clarity.
