Two women were buried to death when a land mound caved in on them at ward 9 of Mangalsen Municipality on Monday.
The incident happened while the victims were extracting soil to daub their house walls, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwari Prasad Bhandari.
Police identified the deceased as Deurupa Bohara, aged 27, and her sister-in-law Binita Bohara, aged 23, both from ward 8 of Mangalsen.
