Quake in Tibet jolts Nepal

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake, with its epicentre in Tibet’s Dinggye, shook several parts of Nepal, including the Kathmandu Valley, on Saturday afternoon.
The quake having its epicentre at Tibet’s Dinggye, around 50-55 kilometers north of Nepal’s Sankhuwasabha was felt at 2:35 pm, an official at the National Seismological Centre in Kathmandu told the Post.
“This is an aftershock of the recent quake in Tibet that shook various parts of Nepal as well in January,” said the official.
No damage or casualties have been reported in Nepal so far.
