Sankhuwasabha
A dry landslide has blocked the Khandbari-Kimathanka road section of the Koshi Highway in Bhotkhola since Monday morning.
According to Bhotkhola Rural Municipality chair Wangchhedar Bhote, the landslide occurred at the Dhig Danda section between Hatia and Hunggung. Large boulders fell from a height of around 15 metres, obstructing the road.
The landslide, which occurred 109 kilometres from Khandbari, has blocked vehicles travelling between Bhotkhola and Khandbari. Bhote has requested the North-South Koshi Road Project to clear the debris, which has buried around 30 metres of the road.
