Taragaon Regency Hotels Limited, operating under the international chain Hyatt in Boudha, Kathmandu, has been recognised as the highest taxpayer in the tourism sector for the fiscal year 2023/24 by the Inland Revenue Department.

The hotel has previously been recognised multiple times as the top tax-paying company in the tourism sector in fiscal years 2014/15, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2019/20.

Additionally, the government of Nepal recognised the hotel in 2019 for contributing the highest amount of foreign currency earnings in the tourism sector.

According to Corporate President Rani Bang, the hotel with 303 rooms, provides direct employment to approximately 325 people.

“The hotel has been significantly contributing to Nepal’s tourism industry for over two decades by attracting high-end tourists, reflecting Nepali art and style,” she said.
