President appoints five non-resident ambassadors
The head of state appointed non-resident ambassadors to Fiji, Argentina, Belarus, Norway and Turkey.Post Report
President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed five diplomats as non-resident ambassadors to various countries.
Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the Office of the President said that five diplomats, currently serving as resident ambassadors, were appointed to new roles as non-resident ambassadors to different countries.
Kailash Raj Pokharel, who serves as Nepal’s ambassador to Australia, has been appointed as the non-resident ambassador to Fiji.
Likewise, the Nepali ambassador to Brazil Nirmal Raj Kafle and the Nepali ambassador to Russia Milan Raj Tuladhar have been handed the portfolio of non-resident ambassadors to Argentina and Belarus respectively.
Prof Dr Ram Swarth Ray, ambassador of Nepal to Denmark, has been appointed as the non-resident ambassador to Norway while Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari will assume the role of non-resident ambassador to Turkey.
