Conference on civilizational and cultural connectivity between Nepal and India being held

A three-day international conference on ‘Manaskhand: Inevitability of Integrity for Internalizing Civilizational and Cultural Connectivity between Nepal and India’ is being held in Dhangadhi.
The event organised by Antarrashtriya Sahyog Parishad (ARSP) and Nepal Bharat Sahyog Manch will see the participation of academicians and experts over the theme of the event from both countries predominantly.
The organisers said the conference would focus on the historical-cultural and scriptures-based concept of ‘Manaskhand’ from the modern perspective.
The ‘Manaskhand’ is an equally accepted entity in cross-border communities of both nations that can enable the generation of employment and revenue for Sudurpaschim region based on pilgrimage tourism, the organisers said.
This academic conference is being hosted by the Far Western University of Nepal in a knowledge partnership with S.S Jina University Almora (Uttrakhand), Kumaon University, Rishihood University Sonipat (Haryana) and Mahakali Sahitya Sangam Nepal.
The three-day event would consist of a full-day academic session and brainstorming discussion between bureaucrats, diplomats and leaders of both countries on internalising and conceptualizing the ‘Manaskhand ‘as a pilgrimage corridor to strengthen cultural ties between Sudurpaschim province of Nepal and the Kumaoni region of Uttarakhand.
