Cabinet promotes four Deputy Inspector Generals to Additional Inspector Generals

The government has promoted four Deputy Inspector Generals of Nepal Police to Additional Inspector Generals.
A recent meeting of the Council of Ministers promoted DIGs Sandeep Bhandari, Sudeep Giri, Meera Chaudhary and Tek Bahadur Tamang to AIG, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the government spokesperson.
The Cabinet also promoted a Brigadier General of the Nepal Army to Major General and nine Lieutenant Colonels to Colonel, said Sharma while unveiling Cabinet decisions on Thursday.
The meeting also decided to declare Padam Kumar Limbu of Tehrathum, who died in the course of a protest against the naming of Koshi province, as a martyr and provide Rs1 million compensation to his family.
Cabinet also decided to open Jugal mountain range for climbing among other decisions.
