Congress takes action against rebel candidates, their proposers and supporters
They were expelled from the party’s general membership for five years as per the party’s statute.The Nepali Congress has taken action against five people including leaders who filed rebel candidacy for the November 20 polls against official candidates of the party and the ruling alliance.
A meeting of the party’s Disciplinary Committee took action against Mangal Bahadur Sahi of Humla and Dharmendra Prasad Yadav, Rabindra Prasad Yadav, Birendra Prasad Yadav, and Ram Ekwal Prasad Yadav (Silpu) of Bara.
They were expelled from the party’s general membership for five years as per the party’s statute.
The party had taken action against action against rebel candidates and their proposers and supporters, earlier too.
On November 9, the party had taken action against Ram Kumar Rai, constituency President of Udayapur-2, who had filed a rebel candidacy, his proposer Leelaraj Danuwar and supporter Min Kumar Dahal, removing them from the party general membership.
