Rastriya Janata Party Nepal Mahantha Thakur has been elected to the House of Representatives from Mahottari constituency-3. He defeated his closest contender Bijaya Chaudhary of the CPN-UML by a margin of 18328 votes.
Thakur secured 27, 005 votes, while Chaudhary got 8,677 votes.
