The death toll from the floods and landslides triggered by torrential rains across the country for the past few days has reached 91, according to the latest report of Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA).

At least 38 have gone missing, the data says.

According to the data provided by the Ministry, 25 people are injured, 2,847 houses were fully destroyed and 3,727 other structures like schools, hospitals and other public offices were damaged by the flood.

Eastern districts of Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, Saptari and central districts of Sarlahi, Bara, Makawanpur, Sindhuli, Chitwan, Rautahat, Dhanusha are worst affected. In the far-western region, Dang, Banke, Bardiya and Surkhet are highly affected.

The Home Ministry said that over 27,000 officials including security personals are mobilized in flood affected areas including seven Nepal Army helicopters, motorboat, rubber boat and others.
