CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the constitution will be amended, but the amendment proposal registered at the Legislature-Parliament will not be endorsed.

 “The constitution will be amended in favour of the country, citizens and democracy, but such amendment should be rational,” said Oli while talking to journalists in Biratnagar on Saturday.

Leader Oli said that those chanting for constitution amendment are trying to destroy Maithili and Bhojpuri, among other languages of Nepal.

He said that Madhesi people were being mislead in the name of rights and their languages were being also destroyed.

The former Prime Minister claimed that Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal is not a democratic one and urged the party to transform it from politics of denial to a democratic party.
