First-ever Nepal-China joint military training begins

The Nepali Army (NA) personnel together with the China's People's Liberation Army's (PLA) squad are participating in the military exercise named 'Sagarmatha Friendship-2017'.
It is aimed at exchanging experience, skills and professional knowledge between the armies of the two countries and enhancing military diplomacy between Nepal and China.
Major General Binod Kumar Shrestha inaugurated the 10-day training focused on counter-terrorism and disaster response.
He was of the confidence that the training would be useful for enhancing professional capacity of the army personnel of the both countries.
Similarly, PLA's Colonel Yang Shumeng expressed his confidence that such training would further strengthen diplomatic and military ties between the countries and boost the capability of the army personnel for counter-terrorism. RSS
