Ankit is the eldest of the three children of Puja and her late husband, Dr Chitra Prasad Sharma Wagle, who died of cancer in October 2013.
Ankit attended regular school until his teachers advised Puja to take him to the school for children of special needs after he started to faint during classes.
“He really enjoyed going to school. These days he is confined to home,” said Puja.
She has appealed all concerned sides to help her son get an education.
As a single mother, Puja has been facing difficulty taking care of her teenage autistic son and two other girls, ages 9 and 12.

Dr Wagle was among a few doctors to work in rural areas of the country during the civil war.
He was working as the medical superintendent of Arghakhanchi District Hospital before being diagnosed with cancer. He died at the young age of 47.
