Attired in traditional dresses, Nepalis people took part in the procession along with Nepali musical instruments. They performed Lakhe Naach, a traditional dance in which participants impersonate as Hindu deities.
Berlin-based Nepali Embassy, NRNA German and Nepali students association in German ‘Student Society’ took part in the carnival.
Nepal’s acting Ambassador to Germany Bishal Bhattarai said the programme was a huge success.
The carnival performed on the streets was witnessed by some one million spectators. There were 73 groups from different countries participating in the carnival.
