Fishing in the Rapti River in the eastern sector of Chitwan National Park (CNP) has been banned.
Fishing in the river has been prohibited to protect the habitat of those fish-eating wild life, birds and aquatic animals like crocodile, according to chair of local Wildlife Poaching Awareness Campaign, Ishwari Pathak.
Granting permission for fishing in the river has been discontinued, he said. RSS
