At least five persons were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident along the East-West highway at Satbariya VDC-6 of Dang district on Tuesday night.

The passenger bus, Na 4 Kha 7345, en route to Kathmandu from Bardiya collided with a truck, Lu 1 Kha 6749, that was parked near the road.

The police have identified the injured as Kopila Acharya, 36, of Butwal-4, Rupandehi, Budhani Tharu, 31, of Gulariya-1, Bardiya, Man Bahadur Oli, 35, of Rajapur-13, Bardiya, Madan Kumar Gyanwali, 22, of Sanoshree-6, Bardiya and Ashmita Neupane, 21, of Kalika-5, Bardiya.

Lamahi Ward Police Office informed that the injured are receiving medical treatment at Lamahi and Butwal.
