Nepalis protest in front of White House (with video)
Nepalis in United States of America have protested against Indian Blockade in front of USA’s presidential Office, White House. The protest was organised by various Nepali organisations based in the USA.

Nepalis in United States of America have protested against Indian Blockade in front of USA’s presidential Office, White House. The protest was organised by various Nepali organisations based in the USA.
The US-based Nepalis staged the protest for around 2 hours in front of the Whitehouse Park. They also protested in front of the Indian embassy at Dupont in the US Capital.
The protesters who started gathering at the Whitehouse 11 am and chanted “Back off India” slogans also sang the Nepali national anthem. They expressed their solidarity towards fellow Nepalis back at home who have been reeling under the Indian embargo.
This is reportedly the biggest Nepali protest in Washington DC area till date. Media person Girish Pokharel informed that this is the first time Nepalis protested in the US streets.
Likewise, Nepali Madhesis residing in the USA also staged a demonstration of the White House on Sunday demanding that the government address their legitimate demands.
