Prohibitory order continues in Bardiya since nine days
The District Administration Office (DAO), Bardiya which had issued prohibitory orders in different places of the district, including the district headquarters, Gulariya, since August 25, has extended the order for an indefinite time.

According to Binod Bahadur Kunwar, Chief District Officer (CDO) Bardiya, the DAO extended the order effective from September 1.
The order has been extended in view of averting further unpleasant incidents, shared CDO Kunwar, adding that the authority has banned the gathering of people exceeding five or over in number, rallies and sit-in protests, especially around some 500 metres vicinity of Radhakrishna Chowk, Rajapur Municipality and main places of the district.
Furthermore, the shutdown called by Tharuhat, Tharuwan Struggle Committee and Madhesi Front Struggle Committee has entered three weeks. The agitating parties have been demanding a separate Tharuhat province.
The daily life of public here been thrown out of gear due to the shutdown.
