The joint-secretary level meeting discussed on border management, cross-border crime, smuggling of arms, fake currency, drugs and contrabands, human trafficking and inundation in the border area, among other issues.
Joint Secretary at the Home Ministry Laxmi Prasad Dhakal said Nepal raised the issue of road construction by India near the border, saying that it could cause inundation on the Nepali side.
The 15-member Indian team is led by Hitesh Kumar S Makwana, joint secretary at the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.
